“I honestly wouldn’t have wanted to go through the experience of child birth without La Shauna by my side. From the day I found out I was having my first child she was there for me and still is to this day. She has a way of bringing the best energy into the room, knowing what I needed before I knew it. From holding my hand to helping me nurse for the first time. I still call her first when I have ailment with my two beautiful girls. It seems like yesterday, but it was 9 and 7 years ago that she was there for me every minute. I can still remember her rolling the tennis balls around my back and making sure I got the donut I was craving after delivery.”~L. Chatman
“Shauna was heaven sent for me. I was a single mother giving birth without the father's support. I was in labor for 30 hours & Shauna stayed with me. I wanted to have my son naturally without the epidural but I just wasn't dilating. After 18 hours of labor pain & I just want it to end, Shauna talked to me and told me it was okay to have the epidural; it is nothing to be ashamed of if I can't do it because I wasn't dilating. Well thank God I kept her in the room with me when I was getting the epidural, cause I had gotten a bad labor pain and tried to jump off the table. Shauna helped me down literally and helped me to breathe through it. Usually with an epidural you should dilate more but that wasn't the case for me. I had only dilated 5 centimeters. So after 30 hours they decided to give me a C-section. Shauna was in the room with me giving me nothing but support and love. I was so blessed to have her with me.”~J. Wright
“Working with Shauna was a terrific experience. She supported us before delivery and helped us understand what to expect. During delivery, she truly shined—comforting and taking care of us as if we were her own family over long hours. We would absolutely want to work with her again.”~L. & B.
“I wasn't even sure what a doula was. But to my surprise she was an advocate at my side in a great time of need. I was grateful to have Shauna in the delivery room.”~K. Jones
